Juvederm is one of our favorite products to use in and around the lips. We have found that it gives both volume and definition that most women are looking for in a very soft, natural way. But honestly, Juvederm is so versatile, it can be used just about anywhere you are looking to restore fullness and volume.
Because Juvederm is a deeper injection, it can be somewhat painful. The needle used for injecting Juvederm is very small, and the gel itself contains lidocaine, which just like at the dentist, makes the area being injected feel numb. Your treatment will likely require several needle sticks, but Celibre injectors are experts at minimizing these. A typical Juvederm treatment session usually only takes around 30 minutes or so!
You may also use ice and/or numbing cream if you wish prior to your treatment for added comfort. We also cleanse the skin around the area to be injected thoroughly to prevent risk of infection. We will do our very best to make your experience as comfortable and painless as possible.
Celibre injectors feel that injecting Juvederm feels smoother and takes less effort that injecting Restylane or Restylane Lyft. We believe that this leads to less bruising after treatment, and most patients tell us Juvederm injections hurt less too. While the FDA states that Juvederm is approved for up to a year, our experience, as well as that of our Juvederm patients, is that it usually lasts about 4-6 months.
Because HA is naturally in our bodies, we will break down the HA in Juvederm over time as well. This is a very gradual process, and we are happy to see you again to treat you with Juvederm when you think you are ready.
