The Safety of Botox Injections During Pregnancy
The short answer is no. But that’s because of liability and insurance reasons; no one is really sure whether having Botox during pregnancy is truly safe or not. At Celibre Medical, we do not provide Botox injections (or dermal filler injections or laser treatments) for pregnant or breastfeeding patients.
Since the potential risk and side effects are not clear, we counsel our expecting and/or nursing mom’s to simply wait on having any treatment until we feel it is absolutely safe to do so. We understand that this may not be the policy at other practices, and we may lose business as a result, but we feel that we can serve our patients best by strictly adhering to the highest standards of care in our industry. It’s simply the right thing to do!
