Angioma Removal Before and After

Overview | Treatment

Angiomas (or spider angiomas) are a form of vascular (blood vessel) lesion. These small red bumps occur when a small number of blood vessels come to the surface. They look wart or mole-like and are raised and red. They often bleed if picked or poked.

Removal of angiomas is accomplished using a device called a hyfrecator. This device generates heat using low voltage electricity. The hyfrecator heats (cauterizes) the bump and removes it from the surface of the skin.
